CPCA estimates China NEV wholesale up 42% year-on-year to 1.14 million in Apr
China’s wholesale sales of passenger NEVs were estimated at 1.14 million units in April, up 42 percent year-on-year and up 1 percent from March.
Among the major carmakers’ NEV wholesale sales, BYD stood at 372,615 units, Geely at 125,563, and SAIC-GM-Wuling at 77,878.
Tesla China sells 58,459 cars in Apr, down 6% year-on-year
This was down 5.96 percent from 62,167 vehicles sold in the same month last year and down 25.84 percent from 78,828 units in March.
In the January-April period, Tesla China sold 231,213 vehicles, a decrease of 18.31 percent year-on-year.

Uber reportedly to invest extra $100 million in WeRide
Uber has committed to an additional $100 million equity investment in WeRide on top of its existing investment.
The investment, which will close in the coming months, will be Uber’s largest investment in autonomous driving to date.
