Xiaomi SU7 total deliveries have exceeded 150,000 units, says CEO
The SU7 delivered more than 135,000 units in 2024, Xiaomi previously said.

Nio offered 103,919 battery swap services on January 23, as peak travel arrives ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday.

For January 1-19, China’s retail sales of all passenger cars were 1.05 million units, 5 percent lower than the same period last year and 27 percent lower than the same period last month.
Wholesale sales of NEVs for January 1-19 were 503,000 units, up 57 percent from a year ago but 35 percent lower than the same period last month.
Nio Onvo’s 2nd model said to have completed trial production
The Onvo L80 has completed trial production and is about to enter the Tooling Trial phase, according to an image allegedly from Onvo.
Earlier this month, an Onvo vice president said the brand’s second car, benchmarked against Li Auto’s Li L8 or Li L9, would be released in the second half of this year.

BYD Yangwang U9 electric supercar reaches 100-unit delivery milestone
Yangwang officially launched the U9 on February 25, 2024, with the 2-seater model starting at RMB 1.68 million ($230,870).
The U9 is the highest priced model under the BYD umbrella and one of the few supercars from a local Chinese brand.
BYD Yangwang shows capabilities of U7’s body control system with rooftop maze game
Yangwang demonstrated in a video that the U7 can complete a maze game on the roof of the car through the responsiveness of the DiSus-Z body control system.
Yangwang began pre-sales of the U7 last November, with no official launch date set.
China EV insurance registrations by brand for week ending Jan 19: Nio 2,800, Tesla 10,000, Xiaomi 5,600, BYD 55,000
Li Auto had 9,500 insurance registrations last week, Xpeng 9,400, Zeekr 3,600, Leapmotor 7,000 and Aito 6,100.
Onvo did not make it into any of the latest Li Auto lists and the Nio sub-brand had 1,800 insurance registrations in the previous week.
BYD exports 11,038 Shark pickups from China in 1st year of availability
BYD Shark exported 3,410 units in December, bringing full-year 2024 exports to 11,038 units.
BYD launched the Shark in Mexico on May 14, 2024, and the pickup is already available in more markets including Brazil and Australia.
BYD to complete Indonesia plant by year-end
The planned annual capacity of BYD’s Indonesia plant is 150,000 units, and the long-term plan is for the export market.
With this investment, BYD was allowed to temporarily ship its cars to Indonesia free of import duties.
