New Jersey to ban ICE cars and trucks from 2035
New Jersey joins a growing list of nine states, including California, Vermont, New York, Washington, and Oregon, to ban gasoline-burning cars – eventually, at least. As of 2027, New Jersey will start limiting the number of gasoline-powered cars, light-duty trucks, and SUVs that can be sold within the state, and eventually ramp that up to a full ban starting 2035. Volkswagen is getting closer to cell-to-pack (C2P) EV batteries
Volkswagen Group China has begun producing battery systems at a new factory in Hefei, China for its MEB platform EVs in the country. NIO is joining forces with a major OEM for EV battery swapping
In China. I didn’t want to bury the lede too far. Today, NIO and Changan Automobile announced the two companies had agreed to develop a joint standard for swappable EV batteries. NIO is the largest operator of swappable passenger EV batteries in the world, with over 2,000 battery swap stations in its home market of China, along with a small network in Europe.
