BYD adds long-range variants to 2 Seal series hybrid sedans, with battery range up to 210 km
BYD has rolled out long-range versions for the Seal 05 DM-i and Seal 06 DM-i, following similar upgrades to two hybrid sedans in the Qin series.
In 2025, the Seal series sold 518,412 units, contributing 11.26% of BYD Group’s total sales during the same period.

Tesla is now offering another variant of the scaled-back Model Y Standard in Europe. The Model Y Standard Long Range RWD is listed in the configurator at €46,990, making it €7,000 more expensive than the base version introduced in October. China Dec NEV retail sales hit record high
China’s December passenger NEV retail sales reached a record 1.337 million units, though year-on-year growth slowed to 2.6%.
For the full year 2025, China’s NEV retail sales reached 12.81 million units, representing a year-on-year increase of 17.6%.

Tesla retail sales in China hit record-high of 93,843 units in Dec
This was partly due to Tesla accelerating deliveries in China toward year-end so consumers could take advantage of more favorable tax policies in 2025.
For the full year 2025, Tesla’s retail sales in China totaled 625,698 units, a year-on-year decrease of 4.78%.
