Hyundai and Kia introduce a new ‘Uni Wheel’ drive system that could revolutionize EV design


During a “Uni Wheel Tech Day” event held in Seoul earlier today, Hyundai Motor and Kia Corporation presented a potentially game-changing approach to the design of an EV’s drivetrain. U.S. Steel pilots battery-electric locomotives


U.S. Steel has converted two of its diesel switcher locomotives at the Mon Valley Works’ Edgar Thomson and Clairton Plants to battery-electric drive. The locomotives travel within the facilities carrying steel, coke, scrap metal, iron ore and other materials. U.S. Steel invested some $2.3 million in the locomotives.
