Kia EV9 gets EPA-estimated range numbers, tops out at 489 km

Kia is continuing its slow-drip launch of the EV9 in the US. First, there was an announcement. Then, actually detailed pricing information. Today, we get EPA-estimated range numbers for all the versions. The €55,200 EV9 Light Long Range RWD gets the most EPA-estimated range, at 489 km, up from a targeted 483 km. Next up are both the €59,500 Wind e-AWD and the €65,100 Land e-AWD, at 451 km, up from a target of 435 km for the former and 407 km for the latter. Tesla takes on Android Auto and CarPlay, opens its cars to third-party apps

Tesla’s software ecosystem has so far been limited to mostly apps created by the car maker and it didn’t support either Apple’s CarPlay or Google’s Android Auto. That’s finally changing, as Tesla released an official API documentation for developers to start creating apps. Kia unveils two more concept vehicles at its EV Day
