Stellantis and Orano enter EV battery recycling agreement

Automaker Stellantis and nuclear energy company Orano have signed a memorandum of understanding to form a joint venture to recycle EV batteries and scrap. Stellantis will have access to cobalt, nickel and lithium from gigafactories in Europe and North America for electrification and energy transformation. You’ll be able to buy a car on Amazon, starting with Hyundai

Amazon US and Hyundai announced a strategic partnership that will see the e-commerce platform start listing Hyundai cars in 2024. Starting next year, Amazon will let dealers list Hyundai cars on its website. People will be able to choose a car, purchase it on Amazon’s platform with the preferred payment method, and then choose to have the car delivered or pick it up at the dealer. As part of the partnership, Hyundai will adopt AWS for its cloud needs and Amazon’s Alexa will be available on Hyundai vehicles starting in 2025. Sports carmaker Alpine wants to reinvent itself, and Geely might help foot the bill

French automaker Renault is looking to investors, including China’s Geely, to funnel some cash into its Alpine racing and sports car brand. Alpine, best known for its A110 sports coupe, is looking to reinvent itself as an all-around player in the EV space with a line of all-electric hatchbacks, SUVs, and crossovers.
