China’s NEV retail penetration rate stood at 58.5 percent in September and 52.2 percent year-to-date.

Nio Firefly launches new special edition model, limited to 666 units
The Night Creature Special Edition Firefly EV starts at RMB 136,800 ($19,170), with deliveries set to begin on October 23.

BYD to discontinue Song Plus amid product lineup change as SUV nears 1.6 million sales

Major EV makers saw a significant drop in insurance registrations in China last week, primarily due to the impact of the Golden Week holiday.
