The Leapmotor Lafa 5 is expected to compete with models including the Volkswagen ID.3, SAIC MG4, BYD Seagull, and Nio Firefly EV.
The Lafa 5 will debut at the Munich auto show on September 8.
BYD reaches 10,000th car delivery milestone in India
BYD’s milestone comes as the Indian Prime Minister revisits China amid hopes for a thaw in Sino-Indian relations.
In July 2023, reports indicated BYD sought approval from Indian authorities to build a NEV factory locally but was denied.
