Study finds BEVs more important for European CO2 targets than PHEVs & range extenders


After 2035, only new cars with CO2 emissions of zero grams per kilometre will be allowed to be registered in the EU. Critics have long been calling for this target to be abolished or at least watered down, for example, by means of plug-in hybrids and range extenders.
