The police department of Kolkata, the capital of the eastern Indian state West Bengal, has announced plans to add 183 electric motorcycles to its fleet. It has taken delivery of the first 60 units, and once it procures the remaining 123 units, the rollout will represent one of the largest electric motorcycle deployments by any police force in the country.
