UK: More manufacturers offer EV subsidies ahead of ECG
Manufacturers have been able to apply for the UK’s Electric Car Grant (ECG) for nearly two weeks now. However, as eligibility also depends on overall manufacturer credentials and green performance, which need to be verified by the government, it is still not certain which EVs will be subsidised. Many manufacturer are taking matters into their own hands, offering grants to either bridge the gap until the ECG comes into force or to match the subsidy, as they will likely not be eligible.
