Tesla’s January retail sales within China were 15.49 percent lower year-on-year and 59.36 percent lower than in December.
The lower sales were partly due to disruptions caused by the Chinese New Year holiday.
Huawei, SAIC to launch new brand targeting young people, report says
The new brand will target a younger market, with vehicles starting at around RMB 170,000 to RMB 250,000, according to local media.
The first model will be based on an existing product from Rising Auto and is expected to hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2025.

CATL continued to be the world’s largest power battery manufacturer in 2024, with a 37.9 percent share above the 36.6 percent in 2023.
