China allows rare earth exports with licences
Following an export ban on rare earths, China is now approving deliveries only with export licenses. The first exports appear to be taking place. While a handful of licences have been granted, such as to major German carmakers, Indian automakers say they have received none and will have to stop production in early June. Dongfeng Nissan’s N7 has received 17,215 firm orders, 35 days after the model’s launch.
