Tesla’s market share in China’s NEV market in July was lower than its 5.5 percent in June and below the 5.3 percent recorded in the same period last year.

Calgary to procude 120 electric buses from Volvo
The Canadian city of Calgary is procuring 120 electric buses. The Nova LFSe+ electric buses from Volvo subsidiary Nova Bus will replace old diesel buses. Delivery will begin in 2027 and all 120 electric buses are expected to be in operation by the end of 2028. Read more…

China Jul EV battery installations: CATL share 41.40%, BYD 21.18%
CATL’s market share decreased by 2.28 percentage points in July compared to June, while BYD’s share decreased by 0.29 percentage points, as smaller players saw growth.
In July, China’s power battery installation volume reached 55.9 GWh, up 34.3 percent year-on-year, but down 4.0 percent from June.
