BYD’s Yangwang brand opens 22 stores for direct sales

BYD’s premium brand for the Chinese market, Yangwang, has just opened 22 stores in 21 cities across the country, all in one fell swoop. This is only the first batch of store openings – Yangwang plans to have more than 90 in total, in more than 40 cities by the end of the year. The stores are directly managed by the brand, these aren’t dealer-operated venues. Yangwang is all-in with the direct-to-customer sales model, unlike BYD itself which uses dealers in China. Chevrolet Equinox EV starts at €33K and promises 513 km range

Chevrolet’s Equinox EV is an electric crossover with an estimated 513 km of range. It faced several delays, but today the company finally delivered a rollout roadmap suggesting all the kinks are finally ironed out. Chevrolet initially dangled the promise of a €28,000 electric vehicle, but that has been bumped to €32,610. Still, if you factor in the generous €7,000 federal tax credit, the starting cost sits pretty at $27,495. Some local state incentives can take that price even closer to €19,000.
