It seems Google is testing a smartphone disconnect button for Android Auto. It will be located in the notification area of your smartphone and will terminate the phone’s connection to the wireless Android Auto. The feature is seemingly rolling out with the Android Auto 10.6 update from the Play Store, but it seems only some beta testers have had it pop up. China’s Haomo delivers affordable ADAS kits to speed up adoption

Haomo.AI Technology, a startup with Great Wall Motor’s backing, has thrown down the gauntlet to competitors with its newly unveiled trio of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) kits. These kits not only boast attractive pricing but also aim to do away with the dependency on high-definition maps, which many competitors rely upon. Volkswagen e-Up! production will cease by the end of the year

Earlier this year, Renault killed the small Zoe EV, and now Volkswagen is getting ready to do the same to its own small EV, the e-Up!. This has seen two generations across its decade-long production run, but its time is now finally Up! (pardon the easy pun). The last e-Up! models will be manufactured at VW’s plant in Bratislava, Slovakia, at some point before the end of this year. After that, there will be no more e-Up!
